Translucent Libyan Desert Comet/Meteorite Impactite/Tektite Glass from the Great Sand Sea of Egypt near the Libyan Border.  Formed when a large meteorite/asteroid impacted the region. in ancient times.  First discovered by the international scientific community in 1932 but had been used by the Ancient Egyptians as a gemstone.  Beware of volcanic pseudo-tektites like Columbianites/Agni Manitites.
