Volume capacity has diminished after a lot of loud sessions with drummers back in the day. I don't know exactly what is wrong but I'm assuming it can easily be fixed. Sound fades away randomly at times too. When I first bought it, the sound was great and can handle mean tones. Tapes with the settings written on them can easily be removed.
