keyboard) adding machine. It is a Style number 3.
The machine was made at the American Arithmometer Company plant in St.
Louis, Mo. Between 1900 - 1903. The plant was closed and the entire company
was moved to Detroit, MI in 1904 when the company took on the name Burroughs
Adding Machine Company. This is a very early machine and they tend to attract collectors. The 17109 number is the serial number. That was used to determine the
age of the machine.
