Measures to be approximately 18 inches x 9 inches. The lantern is a mason jar hanging from good sturdy chain and hardware. As you can see in some of the pics I burn tea light candles in mine. They last for approximately 5 hours and put off a good bit of light and smell wonderful. You can also use battery operated light or fake candles but I just prefer the tea lights. These lanterns make great decorative pieces as well as wonderful hurricane lanterns and give any room a soft relaxing ambiance. I absolutely love mine.
