Mexican Coin Denomination Set 1946-1962 (6 Coin Set).
1960- 1 Peso - Composition: Billon (.100 silver) (Copper .700, Nickel .100, Zinc .100)
Obverse - Country name (Estados Unidos Mexicanos) in a semicircle over the Mexican coat of arms: a Mexican golden eagle standing on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. At the cactus's base is a holm oak (encino) branch on one side and a laurel branch on the other. Denomination and year at the bottom.
Reverse - Jose Morelos portrait facing right
1959- 50 Centavos - Composition: Bronze
Obverse - National arms; eagle with a snake in beak.
Reverse - Cuauhtemoc bust left. With value at the top, mint, and date at the bottom.
1960- 20 Centavos Type 2 National Emblem - Composition: Brass
Obverse - The Mexican coat of arms with the bigger emblem at the top, supported at the bottom by a wreath and an eagle facing left.
Reverse - The value is at the top with the radiant Liberty cap in between and the mintmark underneath. The pyramid in the center motive of the landscape, along with volcanoes and flora, is under the sun, which divides the denomination and is above the mintmark. The pyramid's location, Teotihuacán, is written at the pyramid's base. The volcanoes Ixtaccihuatl and Popocatepet are in the background.
1946- 10 Centavos - Composition: Copper-nickel
Obverse - The Mexican coat of arms (a Mexican golden eagle facing left perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake, and a holm oak (Encina) branch on one side and a laurel branch on the other at the base).
Reverse - The outer circles of the Mexica, or Aztec/Sun Stone, with the year, the mintmark (M), and the denomination in the center.
1962- 5 Centavos large type - Composition: Brass
Obverse - National Arms (Eagle on cactus facing left with a snake in beak above wreath), with the inscription forming a semicircle above it.
Reverse - Value, Portrait of Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez to the right.
1962- 1 Centavo - Composition: Brass
Obverse - The national arms of Mexico.
Reverse - Wheatear at the center with leaves going to the sides and the denomination in numerals at the top-left, and the abbreviation for the denomination to the top-right with the date to the bottom-left and the mintmark to the bottom-right.
