Common courtesy is the most important aspect of this group.

This community may have different policies than other VS communities . .Before you begin, please take a few minutes to review our helpful graphics posted in the “Admin ” category & also in the 'Our Community" category These tips really help to explain a lot of questions as well as policies and guidelines for Varage Sale. Varage Sale is growing and new features are being tested and added & the admins/mod of this group will be happy to help you. Help is always just a click away.

We welcome all those who live, work & visit the local community of Levittown, Bristol Lower Bucks County to join this VS community group .We will do our best to accept all those asking to join ,however, acceptance is based on a variety of points including but not limited to member location, age ( 18+) , face book profile pic (appropriate ) ,face book must be active, up to date with actual name not a fake name, no previous issues with any Admin/Mod. This is a family friendly group. We reserve the right to deny anybody if we feel they would not be a good fit in this VS community group.

By being Accepted into this VS group ,you agree to all guidelines & polices as set forth by VS and the polices set forth by the Admins/Mods of this community .

All those posting items to sell in this community must meet in this the vicinity of the community. If you use the ABOUT ME section, you must put into the description that you will meet in this community

.Use the ABOUT ME section to tell a little about you . Unfortunately , only 1 About Me section is available for all VS groups that you belong too , so please if you are including meet up information in the About Me section, edit it so that it clearly explains for all groups that you belong too, including this group. Those that do not will be asked to edit information. No links to other groups , websites ,etc .

All selling post titles & descriptions if you include meet up information must have that you will meet in the vicinity of this community

The Admins/Mod of this group have no responsibility for any transaction. Although we encourage all those to contact us if any issue , please use " Buyer Beware" when buying any item.

All items must be listed honestly. Clothing & Shoes should be clean. Appliances , Electronics & such should be working, No items that are part of a recall are allowed along with any item on the prohibited lists

Varage has a list of items that are prohibited. http://help.varagesale.com/article/371-what-items-are-not-allowed . This group also has additional items that are prohibited .( no car seats, no drop cribs , no animals , etc )We also don't allow items using profanity . If its illegal , then most likely we don't allow it to be posted.

If you would like to meet at a group setting The Old Walmart Fairless HIlls/Levittown ,Tuesday 6:00pm is a meet up . Some also meet at Bristol Township Municipal Building & at the Tullytown Police Station. You may also arrange a meet up /pick up privately between the buyer seller at a location different from above meet . ( You may not tell a buyer/seller that you only meet at a location outside the boundary line of this group).

Transactions should take place in a timely fashion , buyers can not expect a seller to hold items.
All those buying are expected to follow up once they put interested, send a pm. Those that continuously ask and do not follow up will be subject to be blocked from this community .
Sellers, if you must sell it quickly and can't hold please put that into the description section .
Sellers, Please use a 24 time frame as a guideline before moving to next interested member.
Buyers , we suggest if you're interested in any item, click the " interested " button . It will take you to the pm section & that will allow you the option to pm member about item . A pic of the item you are interested in will pop up letting the seller know which item it is .
If a seller doesn't message you back within 7 days, the VS system will automatically hide all their items until they log back into group. They will also give them 2 warnings prior to hiding items. This will help with inactive sellers and keep items up to date.

VS has a Vacation/Not Available Mode, If you will be going away /unavailable , it will temporarily hide all your posted items until you get back ( you set a time frame up to a week) Only those that previously commented will see items . You may also choose to have a "away status " which will activate when anybody messages you.

The My Stuff feature allows you to easily locate all the items that you have posted to sell. It also has a "watch " section for all items that you want to watch.

A New feature is "My Store" , it is a public profile link to the items your items in 'My Stuff" If you chose to share the link and somebody is interested & they belong to VS , it will take them to it , If not they will be prompted to join VS.
Please note that each VS group has its own category set up. When posting take the time time to look at all the Categories & the subcategories & choose the category that best fits item you are posting .You may find that more than 1 category would be a good choice , just choose the 1 that fits item best . Use the Miscellaneous category only if no category is available. The Admin/Mod of this group will at their discretion move any item to a category they feel is best for that item to help it sell.

Cross Posting into VS communities is known as SIM - simplified item management. You have the choice to upload into just your home community or to upload to additional communities that you belong to . You many adjust settings so that posts automatically upload to all chosen communities. You may instead choose to only post some items, in which case you will edit the community post setting each time you post item .

VS also has a discussion section , a place to share ideas, questions, community updates.

The Admin/Mod of this community will at their discretion at any time & using any means available , take any member out of the group who is not following policies . Depending on the issue, the member may be temporarily taken out until agreeing to follow policies . We want all those in this group to feel comfortable & safe, when it comes to posting , buying , selling , chatting , etc so any flagrant , inappropriate behavior for example , name calling , using profanity will not be tolerated & those causing issue will be taken out of the group permanently. The decision to take any member out of this group is up to the Admins of this community .

The policies and guidelines listed are the most important , but they may not include all the policies & guidelines & are subject to change at any time . If possible, notice will be given in advance if any change .
