In impeccable condition, this Antique Early 1800's (circa 1800 to 1880's) Shaker Style Horizontal Pine Sideboard would be an amazing addition to your country, heritage, farmhouse style home in the kitchen, diningroom or hallway.
It is a Shaker style Sideboard/ Buffet with one full width top Drawer and two Shaker style Doors concealing great lower storage at the bottom.
It features a hand carved man made Dovetail joint top drawer. As you can see from the non-identical joints each one done by hand by the craftsman. (Machine Made dovetail joints are all uniform and almost exact in size and shape. Machine made dovetail joints became popular in the 1890's).
The Doors are also hand carved Tongue and Groove shaker style.
The Top Drawer also features two original cast iron door pulls (handles) and an eye catching hand carved eight-point centre star engraving.
Sturdy black resin wheels were added more recently for easy shifting and moving of the Sideboard.
Its Dimensions are: 37.75” wide x 17.5” deep x 32.24” high.
It is currently sitting in Oakville close to Lakeshore Road and Mississauga Street near Bronte.
It can be viewed or picked up there. Please bring help to carry it out.
