1950's Mills cereal box prizes. Made by Van Brode Co. Hard molded plastic. Intricate design, dolls are quite striking for their age. Size range from 1 7/8 " to 2 " high, by 1 1/4 " wide, by 1/2 " deep. 29 countries were represented with one male and one female doll. Van, the man and Brode, the woman were the mascots of the Van Brode Co. and represented Holland. This set of 25 dolls include: 1 man figurine and 1 woman representing Bali. 1 man figurine representing Burma. 2 men figurines and 1 woman representing China. 1 woman figurine representing English. 1 man figurine representing Hawaiian ( please note that on the Hawaiian doll "Hawaiian" is misspelled "Hawiian"). 1 man figurine (Van) and 3 women figurines (Brode) representing Holland and also the Van Brode Co. mascots. 2 women figurines representing Irish. 1 man figurine representing Italy. 2 women figurines representing Mexico. 1 woman figurine representing Scotch. 1 woman figurine representing Spanish. 4 men figurines representing Turkey. 1 man figurine and 1 woman figurine representing West Indies. All 25 figurines are displayed on an 18 " long, by 7 1/2 " wide, by 1 3/4 " deep wooden display shelf. Each doll is in excellent condition.
