Vintage Arcopal Opal Milk Glass Nesting Bowls
$18
This lovey set of two Arcopal France glass nesting bowls have a pretty pink rose motif scattered around them. The scalloped edge and pink roses make them ultra feminine! The indentations from the scalloped edge extends into the inner sides of the bowl giving off a lovely reflection when the light strikes them. They are in very nice vintage condition with some minor signs of wear (only under close inspection) as would be expected. These would be beyond pretty for a spring gathering. So unique!
Large bowl- 9 inches height x 3.4 inches tall
Small bowl- 6 x 2.75 inches
WHAT IS ARCOPAL FRANCE?
Arcopal is a French brand that was introduced in 1958. It’s glassware has become synonymous with white opal. Arcopal represented one of the first revolutions in glass manufacturing as their dishes were heat and break-resistant, made of fully tempered glass. Although very thin, Arcopal glass is five times stronger than china. Arcopal tableware was famous for its translucent opal borosilicate glass. Some compare Arcopal to a French version of Pyrex. All Arcopal pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe. Arcopal produced a range of fabulous kitchenware across the 1960s through to the 1980s. The company has since gone on to be known as Arc International. Arcopal dinnerware is now considered a rare collector item with so many beautiful pieces made.
