Even if you are not into antiques, I think everyone will be able to appreciate this very solid, high quality piece of beautiful furniture. This is a very beautiful oak cabinet. I know very little about the cabinet other than it has been in this house for 40+ years. Local antique experts all placed the age at approx. 125 years old ( end of the 1800's / Civil War Era ) is what I am told. Measures 51 inches wide by 19 inches front to rear, and 71 inches tall. There is one key that works and comes with it. The glass is original from that era as well. The "egg and dart" ( aka "egg and tongue" styling ) detailing was considered highly stylish during that era.

Some of you have referred to it as a China Cabinet, I thought it was a liquor cabinet. In any case, the photos do NOT do this amazing piece of furniture justice. It is just too big for my new "downsizing" lifestyle.

The question was asked of me if the cabinet could me moved in sections. Yes, the top half of the cabinet simply sits on the lower half. Both pieces would fit easily in a full size pickup truck for moving purposes.
