Panama City FL Buy, Sell, Swap, and Trade Rules & Guidelines
TO SELL: Upload your items individually, one picture per item. Please place all additional pictures in the comments of the main picture. Please do not use stock photos. All items listed must be of your actual item. You may include a stock photo in your comments if you like.
Include a price, accurate description, and meeting location. Include information such as smoking or non, any pets in the home, overall condition, any issues. Then wait for activity on your items, answer hold questions, and set up a meet for delivery of items. Make sure your descriptions are accurate. If misrepresented the buyer does not have to follow through with the sale.
If an item is cross-posted, you must let that be known. Please follow the order of holds/solds. This is to keep order. (unless your item is marked FCFS—First come, first served)
TO BUY: If you are sure you want it and have no questions about it type SOLD. Keep in mind that SOLD means SOLD so be sure to get all of your questions answered BEFORE saying sold. You are to follow through with picking up within 7 days (unless other arrangements have been made). When you type SOLD that is your word that you are showing up at the designated location on time with the correct amount of cash.
****Once a buyer has posted SOLD it is the responsibility of BOTH the buyer AND seller to make contact with each other to make arrangements to meet. Contact should be made within 24 hours of posting sold. If contact is not made from either party the sale is null and void. Item may be relisted.
HOLDS: (Do not pertain to FCFS or cross-posted listings) If you are interested and have a question that is not already addressed in the description type ‘HOLD’ followed by your question. Holds MUST be accompanied with a question that is not answered in the description and are not to be used as simple placeholders in line. Once again if you have no question and want it say sold even if there are other holds or solds in front of you. This is important because people pass on holds and unfortunately sometimes sales fall through. The seller will answer the question and you then have 12 hrs to respond. The valid question will hold your spot in line for the item. There is only one set of 12 hrs and it goes from the time your original question is answered. Holds are never valid when asking for a lower price.
PRICING ITEMS: All items MUST have a price posted in the appropriate spot. The Make An Offer option is a VarageSale option not a PCBSST option. There is nothing we can do about it being there but please do not use it. Place a price in the pricing spot and then, if you like, you may put make an offer or OBO in your description.
CROSS POSTING: An item that you post in this group may be listed in other markets. This includes Facebook groups, flea markets, CraigsList, yard sales, etc. Make it known that your item is cross-posted in the description & keep up with the item status’ (Available, Pending, sold)
ISO HOLDS: If a seller recognizes someone is IN SEARCH OF an item she has listed the seller may type ISO HOLD and tag the potential buyer. The buyer has 12 hrs to respond with sold or hold with questions.
MAKING OFFERS: When making an offer on an item and it is accepted that is the same as SOLD. Offers are something that should be handled delicately. Don't take advantage or make ridiculous offers of more than half off the asking price.
REFUNDS: As a buyer you should be looking over your items before leaving the seller. We understand that this doesn't always happen due to the nature of our fast paced meets. If the item is not as described you may contact the seller for a refund. This is only for items that have been misrepresented and should happen within 24 hours after you pick up the item. Sellers, you want happy buyers. If this rare situation arises it must be addressed and refunded within a week.
PAYMENT: PCBSST is cash only. No checks or credit cards please. Show up at your meet with exact change in cash.
WHEN SELLING CAR SEATS: You must post a picture of the expiration date and the car seat must not have been involved in any car accidents. The expiration date is usually on the bottom of the car seat and is not a sticker but raised letters.
PET SALES:
No! You may re-home a stray pet, but please do not sell pets on this VS site.
Pets that are given away for free MUST be at least 8 weeks old or older. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Please make sure when taking a "free" pet that you can keep it. Too many times we are seeing the same pet being reposted because the owner changed their mind and then the original owner gets upset because they believed that their animal was getting a forever, good home.
Pets are living things and deserve the same respect as humans do.
THINGS THAT CANNOT BE SOLD/TRADED: Firearms, anything on the National recall list (such as drop side cribs), outdated car seats, anything that requires a prescription, or coupons. Anything else that is illegal to sell such as knock offs of name brands, such as Coach purses. You cannot sell any kind of liquor unless you have a liquor license.
BABY FOOD/FORMULA can only be given away. It cannot be traded or sold. It will be removed without warning if it is posted for trade or sell.
Please keep in mind PCBSST is to be a fun, safe, & happy place- we do our best to keep it that way. Participation is at your own risk. I, Alysia Guyse or any admin of PCBSST, can not be held responsible for anything bought/sold on this site. At group meets & private meets be aware of your surroundings. Its unfortunate but everyone is not honest. Your property is your responsibility to keep up with.
