The Royal Canadian Mint struck this special series of numismatic coins in celebration of Canada's 125th anniversary of Confederation. The 12 quarters display scenes from each province and territory in Canada. The dollar coin has the honour of being the standard bearer of the Nation. The designs were selected from submissions by Canadians from coast to coast.
