Not sure of intended use but we used them as a centerpiece on the dining table. They don’t have a base or a lid, just tubular glass. Throw some candles in them, change out the decoration depending on the season, put them in a fish tank or pond to add structures, possibilities are endless. 3 are about 14” tall and 10” diameter, one is about 12” tall and 8” diameter.
