Is it ever too early to plan for next Christmas - I think not. Especially since by the time you want things they have all been snatched up. So here is your chance to be an early Christmas elf. This is a really nice big vintage ceramic tree - a total height of 18". It is approx. 12" wide at its widest. It really makes for a wonderful atmospheric piece of retro decor. Just add snow at his base, deer and some other trees and you'll have a really grande showy display. When the tree is on in the evening, it gives a wonderfully cozy glow - so nostalgic and homey.
The tree is around 40 years old. The electrical portion works perfectly as does the roll-over switch (lightbulb is included) The top portion of the base has several small chips where the top of the tree has been placed on it over the years. These chips have been touched up (I have posted a picture - bet you don't see them) and of course are not visible once the top portion of the tree is placed on it so it's really a non-issue. The base has a holly relief on the front. I don't know who the mold manufacturer is - but the base has a date of '82 with a name.
The top is 16.5" tall on its own with the star included. The star is bent a little bit on the top prong but not broken. The tree is in very good condition for its age and fragility. All the spaces for the peg lights are filled and are securely glued in. There are a variety of peg shapes, including: large bulbs, and even the older, extra-large bulbs, several birds and even a flower and a candlestick - both of which are more rare. There are some signs of previous ownership but there is no damage.
Thank you for looking at this tree. I am selling it as I need to thin down my Christmas collection which has grown huge over years of collecting. We are in White Rock - right by the Semihamoo Mall. We are a - no smoking - no pet - home. If you are paying in cash I would appreciate exact change. I am accepting PayPal payments - not e-transfer. We will be dropping the item off to you, by your car, in our parking lot.
Thanks, Andrea
