Also called “annual hollyhocks” because they bloom the first year! They are short lived perennials, but in their 3 or 4 year life they will make plenty of seeds and seedlings. These are small first year seedlings that will grow about three to four feet tall and continue blooming until frost. The basal rosette will lie dormant but usually evergreen, and then bloom even more profusely in the following years. 1/2 gallon sizes are $6. On occasion I have gallon sizes for $10, and small 4” pots for $3 and $4.
