This is a gorgeous and rare silverplate Christmas themed bowl with a red glass insert. With a scalloped edge and standing on three small feet, this bowl is comprised of 14 "panels" each with a series of pierced Christmas themed patterns, specifically holly leaves, Christmas trees, and reindeers. The red glass insert bowl fits snugly within the silver bowl and casts a beautiful red hue through each of the numerous holiday themed cut outs. There are a number of air bubbles within the glass of the bowl that may indicate that it is hand blown but we do not know definitively.

The silver bowl has a diameter of 7" and stands 3 3/4" high. The red glass insert is 6 1/4" wide and is 2 3/4" high. With the exception of a very minor flea bite on the rim of red bowl, both the silver bowl and glass insert are in very good overall vintage condition with no chips or cracks noted. This is a wonderful piece of Holiday serve ware that is both functional as well as a beautiful piece of stand alone Christmas decor.
