This rug was given to me as a gift, so I have no information on its history and make other than what is described here.

Gorgeous, 4 foot diameter, round, "oriental" type rug. I would love to keep it, but I may have to relocate and am therefore downsizing. I'm looking to give it a good home to someone who will appreciate it.

The piece was stored away and never used, so it has received no traffic and is therefore in excellent condition. Not an antique, but by virtue of being a beautiful, dense, hand woven and tufted tapestry, is definitely a keepsake/heirloom piece or collectible. It is made with a beige/neutral French floral design that really ties a room together. Very nice detailing. Looks to be wool, or potentially wool/silk combination. About 3/4 in pile, weighs about 10 pounds or a little more. Excellent, durable construction, so it will definitely stand up to wear and tear, while serving as a great conversation piece.
