Code of Conduct

1. Sales are first come, first serve! Member must respect the terms of a transaction, and give reasonable prior notice should there be a change in schedule. The admins do not get involved in member transactions and cannot dictate to a member who they should sell to.
   Members cannot demand payment before pickup or to reserve an item.

2. Fake, ghost, duplicate and otherwise empty profiles are not permitted. You must use a real name that you are known by, and keep a profile photo that contains your self in some way. (it's not a passport photo!)

3. We DO NOT permit the sale, trade, or giving away free of Medications, Vitamins, Animals, Baby Formula, Baby Food, Firearms, Alcohol, Drugs, Weapons or items considered ILLEGAL.

4. If you want to negotiate price, please do it in a private message and NOT on the feed in the comments. All price negotiations and agreements must be done PRIOR to the meeting. Re-negotiating the price upon pickup (unless there is an undisclosed issue with the item) is considered inappropriate.

5. Please be kind courteous and respectful others. Harassment, profanity, and insults will NOT be tolerated, rude, insulting, defamatory, and profane comments WILL result in being banned.

6. Please DO NOT use this group to TAKE ORDERS for businesses such as Tupperware, Epicure, Pampered Chef, or anything as such. Each posting must be for one individual item, with clear pictures and a price for that one item or lot. Once again NO "make an offer" or "contact for price".
   If you would like to promote your business or storefront, you may post ONE ad in the small business category. Items for sale by a business are not permitted. Automotive dealerships are not permitted.

7. All BUSINESS and SERVICES ads MUST be placed in the Small Business Directory category. If you place an ad for your business or services offed in any other category, it will be removed.

8. When posting a CAR SEAT, please note that it is illegal to sell a car seat or booster seat that was made prior to January 1st, 2012 because it may not meet the current safety requirements set by Health Canada. Please refer to the Transport Canada Guidelines: http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/motorvehiclesafety/safedrivers-childsafety-faq-1131.htm Car seats that have been in an accident are ILLEGAL to sell, do not post!

9. Respect and abide by the Varage Sale Terms of Service, which includes using your real name to help maintain an safe and trustworthy community and give members an idea of who they are dealing with.

10. No double posting! Please only post your item once - choose the best category the first time. Select the ONE category which you feel best represents your item, and post your item only ONCE within the community.
