VarageSale is a community based platform. If you do not live in the West Island (see territory map) DO NOT post your items for sale in this community. If you do so, you are agreeing to be available to travel to meet up for transactions. Please respond to a member of the admin team and indicate you agree to travel to meet if you plan on making your items for sale available in this community. Only make your items for sale available within your home community, and the other communities you agree to travel to meet-up.
False, ghost, duplicate and otherwise empty profiles are not permitted. You must use a real name that you are known by, and keep a profile photo that contains your self in some way. (it's not a passport photo!) Members in the community want to have an idea of who they are engaging in transactions with. This helps facilitate and honest and reputable buying & selling platform.
We DO NOT permit the sale, trade, or giving away free of any items prohibited by the VarageSale terms of service.
If you want to negotiate price, please do it in a private message and NOT on the feed in the comments. All price negotiations and agreements must be done PRIOR to the meeting. Re-negotiating the price upon pickup (unless there is an undisclosed issue with the item) is considered inappropriate.
You must be kind courteous and respectful to others. Harassment, profanity, insults and any abusive language will NOT be tolerated. Such actions may result in a permanent ban from the VarageSale platform altogether. If you do not wish to engage with a member, you may block them.
DO NOT use this group to TAKE ORDERS for businesses such as Tupperware, Epicure, Pampered Chef, or anything as such. Each posting must be for one individual item, with clear pictures and a price for that one item or lot. NO "make an offer" or "contact for price". Each item must have a minimum price listed.
If you would like to promote your business or storefront, you may post ONE ad in the small business category. Items for sale by a business are not permitted. Automotive dealerships and realtors are not permitted to post items.
All BUSINESS and SERVICES ads MUST be placed in the Small Business Directory category. If you place an ad for your business or services offed in any other category, it will be removed.

Please note that unless it is serious, the volunteer admins DO NOT get involved in member disputes. We have a 3 strike policy for no shows, on the 3rd no show you will be removed from the community
