Late 19th Century cast iron & coffee grinder. Patent date October 21, 1873 on base. Double wheels stamped enterprise Mfg.Co. Philadelphia, PA December 9, 1873. Grinder is stamped American. Wooden drawer with a porcelain knob. The crank handle works great and wheels turn smoothly. The material is Cast Iron. Diameter of the wheels are 17”. Great condition.
The outside of the wheels are embossed: "ENTERPRISE MFG CO PHILADELPHIA PA PATENTED DEC 9, 73" Embossed on the base is "ENTERPRISE MFG. CO. PHILADELPHIA PA. PATENTED OCT. 21 1873" Embossed on the red grinder cover is "AMERICAN PAT OCT 21 73"Dimensions: 18.25" tall, 17" deep, without handle 13.5" wide, with handle 17" wide, diameter of wheels 17". Weight of grinder: 55 pounds.
