Admins are here to help manage the group and answer any questions you may have.
This group is for the Cookeville area of Putnam County TN. If you live within a 30-mile radius of Cookeville you may join our group. All meetings are in Cookeville unless otherwise agreed upon. If items are large and require pick-up, you must state that in your original post.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Buyers:
All sales are final, please inspect your items when paying
Coordinate exchanges via private message - not on the public feed/post. Your safety is our top priority !

You must comment on a post if you wish to purchase an item. If you send a PM without commenting you will not be considered in line for the purchase.
Should you cancel a meeting the seller is free to move to the next in line.
All negotiations should be done in a PM and not on the post.

Sellers:
You can post as much as you want.
One item per post.
You may post additional pics of the same item in the comment section of your post.
Bumping is available when the blue bump arrow appears on your items.
Price reductions must be done by editing the post. Please do not use the comments section for this.
Please change the status of your items when applicable (Available/Reserved/Sold). Sold Items are automatically removed in 7 days.

The "first to comment" has dibs on the item. The seller must go in the order of the comments and not by any PM's received to determine your buyer. BOTH a member asking a "question" and a member hitting the "interested button" are considered "COMMENTS". Please allow a minimum of 8 hours before moving to the "next" in line. The 8 hours is to allow the first to comment time to ask questions and negotiate. If the buyer sends you a message or comments on the post and passes within the first few minutes you may move on to the next in line.

Do not sell to a member who has not commented on your post. Comments are the only way we admin can resolve a situation if need be.

Most sellers will but you are not required to hold your items for a buyer.

If a buyer cancels on you one time, you are free to move to the next in line.

If you post an item for $15 and Mary offers you $12 and you say yes, you will need to sell the item to Mary for $12 even if Jane, Sue and Nancy offer you $15.

Keep your title simple and use key words so that it can be found with the search feature. Eg: Handbag
Use an informative description. Which one of these do you think would sell the quickest ?

1. Handbag $50 (description are was left blank)
2. Handbag $50 Fossil Handbag
3. Handbag $50 Fossil Handbag 9 x 11 x 4 3 interior pockets Has zipper closure and shoulder strap This handbag is in like new condition as it was only carried 6 weeks.

In the description list all details and note any flaws. Do not misrepresent your items.

If you have an item your not sure whether or not you should post it for sale, then please don't as changing your mind at the last minute about selling an item is not fair to the buyer.

Please indicate items that are cross-posted. If not indicated it will be presumed the item is available for members of this group.

BUSINESS: You are welcome to advertise your business in the More Categories/Small Business Directory Category with pic, link and phone number but you are NOT allowed to advertise your business in the post of an item for sale.

WHAT YOU CAN’T DO:
Drama on the feed is a no/no. If you are having a problem with a group member, just contact admin and the issue will be resolved.
Do not post items from your small/craft business. This Community is for selling items you have at home.
Buying and re-selling items for profit is prohibited.
Use of profanity is not allowed.
Expired car seats are not allowed.
Animals of any kind are not allowed.

If you break a group rule you will be temporarily suspended from the group for a period of 7 days. Should there be a 2nd offense you will be suspended for no less than 21 days. On the 3rd offense you will be permanently removed from the group. This does not matter if you have been a group member for 1 day or 1 year. Not “knowing” the group rules is no longer an acceptable excuse. Please read our group rules before you begin buying and selling. This will include but not limited to the following:
Any reported and verified no show by a buyer or seller.
Changing your mind about selling an item on it has comments on it.
Not going in the order of comments on your post.
Requesting to meet out of the Huntersville area.
Agreeing to accept a lower cost and then selling it to another member for your asking price.
Offering or accepting more than asking price on an item.
